Ayah Tours

Ayah-tours is established by Daniela, born in 1968 and lives in Amsterdam.

In december 2005 my son and I travelled through Peru for the first time and Peru stole my heart immediately. We did a San Pedro ceremony in the mountains near Cusco which wasn’t such a good experience, because the female shaman didn’t really put anything into the ceremony other than pouring the medicine.

During my journey through Peru I heard about Ayahuasca and the amazing results it can give when working with this medicinal plant. After coming back to Holland, I started my research into working with Ayahuasca and learned I wanted to do Ayahuasca at the source of where it grows, in the heart of the Amazon.

After a long search, I found two different Ayahuasca-centers in the jungle near Iquitos, as well as one in Pucallpa, both in the Peruvian Amazon and spent several weeks in all three of them.

Since then I have been back to Peru many times and after about 3 years I was offered the possibility to bring the Shipibo to Holland. It’s such beautiful and grateful work to be able to bring the jungle to Holland and be the bridge between the knowledge of the Shipibo and the people who don’t have the possibility to travel to Peru but want to learn more about these ancient traditions.

It is of the utmost importance to me that the ceremonies are led by a professional shaman, who knows what he is doing and works with love, compassion and integrity.

I am determined to share the beautiful experience with as many people as possible and besides my stay in the magnificent forest of the Amazon, it has been a privilege to work with the Shipibo shamans and get to know just a little of their ancient wisdom and immensely rich heritage.
